Kyle Minogue to headline Sziget Festival

Sziget Festival Hungary 2024

Europe’s biggest and most diverse music festival, Sziget, has today announced two Australian titans. The iconic pop sensation KYLIE joins the bills as the new headliner, as well as DJ and producer FISHER. Also confirmed today is the lineup for Sziget’s rap and hip-hop stage, the dropYard with key names including KOJAQUE, P MONEY, RUSHY and more.

The multi-platinum-selling KYLIE MINOGUE entered a new phase of her career in the summer of 2023 with her hit song ‘Padam Padam’ from her album ‘Tension’. This year, Kylie received the prestigious BRIT Music Awards for both ‘Global Icon’ and ‘International Artist’; there is no doubt that her upcoming performance at Sziget will be a festival highlight. The dropYard is bursting with daytime activities from the moment the sun climbs over the island. From break-yoga sessions to a global showdown of break dancers. As evening approaches, the dropYard comes alive as a vibrant hub of hip-hop beats and dynamic performances. This year the Irish rapper KOJAQUE will be making his debut at the festival with his well-known flawless performances, boldness and lyrical sharpness. Last year he released his album ‘Phantom of the Afters’ which was nominated for the RTÉ Choice Music Prize Album of the Year.

Another new addition is P MONEY, a legendary live performer and iconic name in the British grime MC world – he dropped his ‘Money Over Everyone 4’ last year and featured other British legends like D Double E, Jme and Frisco. The London native, RUSHY, will also be taking over the dropYard stage this year after a huge 2023 with his viral release ‘Pressure’, since then it has been onwards and upwards. The former Europe Stage will now be known as Ibis x ALL presents The Buzz, featuring international bands that have achieved significant success in their home countries but are not yet widely known internationally – some names include ROYEL OTIS, JEREMIAS, DEAD POET SOCIETY, ÍÑIGO QUINTERO and ARTEMAS. This year, there will be Free To Be…Specials during the breaks on the Main Stage, adding colour to the program with performances and short speeches that draw attention to the societal changes happening around us and the collective responsibility associated with them.

The Global Village stage will offer a vibrantly diverse program, inviting festival-goers to explore the sounds of different cultures from traditional music to electro-world. Sziget’s renewed artistic venue, the ArtGarden is a haven for active relaxation and exploration throughout the day including workshops, installations, and exhibitions. The Cirque du Sziget, a must-see venue, will once again mesmerise visitors with diverse productions from around the world. The Theater and Dance venue, the Strolling Street Theaters, and the magical whirlwind of the Magic Mirror are all essential parts of Sziget’s diversity. The Great Street Theater will return with an enchanting crane production brought by the French company Cie Gratte Ciel.
