Sziget Festival is charging into its next chapter with a game-changing 2025 edition, promising its most daring and immersive experience to date. From 6th to 11th August, the legendary Island of Freedom will return to Budapest’s Óbuda Island, unveiling a reimagined site layout packed with brand-new creative districts, genre-spanning programming, and a bold celebration of inclusivity that reflects its diverse, global audience arriving from over 100 countries.
In a headline shake-up, KID CUDI will step in for A$AP ROCKY, who has cancelled several European dates this summer. The Grammy-winning icon, Kid Cudi, will take to Sziget’s Main Stage on Friday 8th August, renowned for redefining hip-hop and R&B since his 2008 breakout Man on the Moon: The End of Day, Cudi continues to push creative boundaries and will mark his long-awaited return to the Island of Freedom after last performing in 2011.

Sziget 2025 debuts a bold new district concept, reimagining the festival as a cultural city bursting with creativity and connection. Venues like DropYard, Jukebox, Giant Street Theatre, ArtGarden, and the beloved Magic Mirror have found new homes across the island, while vibrant new zones like Szoho and Paradox invite festivalgoers to explore a dynamic world of music, street culture, performance, and immersive art. The Cathedral of Freedom, a monumental new structure in Liberty Square, will serve as a striking landmark and a symbol of the festival’s evolving identity.
This year also marks the exciting return of TEDxBudapestSalon, back with big ideas, deep talks, and bold discussions, bringing curious minds together for powerful conversations that inspire, challenge, and connect.
As night falls, the all-new Delta District comes alive as the heart of Sziget’s electronic music scene. The reimagined Bolt Night Stage, the underground vibes of The Club by Don Julio, and the iconic open-air Yettel Colosseum will host global legends and late-night sets until dawn. Meanwhile, Sziget Beach brings 24-hour chill with ambient beats and laid-back grooves, and Wellness at Premium Ville offers luxury accommodation with restorative spaces and spa-like calm.
There’s more to discover at every turn: The Cypher fuels freestyle battles and breakdance; The Joker shifts from board games by day to comedy and slam poetry by night; and the Revolut Stage returns with a major upgrade as Sziget’s second-biggest music arena. Even the entrance gets a makeover with the iconic K-Bridge that will be transformed by a vivid flock of sculptural birds, welcoming visitors into the boldest Sziget yet.
