Germany’s most important hip-hop festival today announces the first line-up drop for its anniversary edition: at the 25th anniversary of the splash! Festivals from June 29th to July 1st 2023 all signs point to Moshpit. A total of 45 acts are part of the announcement. There are artists who have been shaping the splash! DNA for many years, but also exciting newcomers who are on the verge of becoming the voices of the next hip-hop decade.
He is undoubtedly the most important rapper of our time: KENDRICK LAMAR comes to the birthday edition of the splash! Festival. After his brilliant solo show in Berlin’s Mercedes-Benz Arena last year, hip-hop Germany was unanimous: Here someone writes history as soon as they enter the stage. UFO361 has been setting new standards in the German rap scene for years. One of his most unforgettable splash! moments was a joint appearance with US rap legend Future in 2019.
The first announced co-headliner TRETTMANN also has a long history with splash!. Germany’s longest-serving rap festival and the Saxon hip-hop legend not only share their hometown, but countless memories of escalative splash! shows. The fact that TRETTMANN will release his last album together with the Berlin producer collective KitschKrieg at the splash! introduces should be a closing circle for many rap fans.
US rapper SKI MASK THE SLUMP GOD is happy to return to the splash! Beach Stage as part of the birthday lineup.
