This summer, you can experience American-Colombian KALI UCHIS, a modern soul diva who embraces a wide spectrum of pop’s nuances. When KALI UCHIS performed her first and only Danish concert at Roskilde Festival in 2018, she was an emerging artist on the climb towards greatness. On her latest album, Red Moon In Venus, she presents herself as a bona fide world-class modern pop star!
Before KALI UCHIS takes the stage at the Orange Scene, she adds another album to her already impressive discography with the Spanish-language Orquídeas. In other words, Kali Uchis is pulling out all the stops to deliver a global pop party!
English singer/songwriter PJ HARVEY has redefined rock for more than 30 years, and in 2023, 54-year-old Polly Jean Harvey marked a long-awaited return to music with her tenth solo album, I Inside the Old Year Dying. PJ HARVEY is a true rock icon that is constantly evolving, and her outstanding discography includes award-winning and critically acclaimed albums like Is This Desire? (1998), Stories From the City, Stories from the Sea (2000), and the powerful Let England Shake (2011).
PJ HARVEY and Roskilde Festival share a special bond dating back to the 90s, and her concert this summer will be her first at the festival since 2016.
Roskilde Festival is the place where you get the opportunity to experience music you won’t find anywhere else. This is reflected in today’s announcement, where several acts are set to have their first Danish concerts when they arrive at Roskilde.
This includes the groundbreaking reggaeton producer TAINY from Puerto Rico, who released his debut album Data in 2023, featuring prominent names like Bad Bunny, Skrillex, Myke Towers, and Four Tet. There’s also Japanese cult orchestra VIOLENT MAGIC ORCHESTRA, which will invite you to a death rave filled with techno, black metal, and extreme visuals!
And then there’s UK’s ROMY, who previously left the Orange Scene spellbound as part of The xx and has truly made her name as a solo artist with the debut album “Mid Air”. Released in September 2023, Mid Air celebrates life, love, and queer communities in hymn-like manner.
