Judas Priest, Slipknot and Korn play Evil Live Festival 2025!

Evil Live Portugal 2025

Standard-bearers of heavy metal for more than five decades, JUDAS PRIEST return to Portugal to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the classic «Painkiller»

Undisputed icons of heavy metal, JUDAS PRIEST are coming to the EVILLIVE FESTIVAL to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the legendary «Painkiller», an album that marked a revolution in their sound and consolidated the band’s status in the history of heavy music. Released on 3 September 1990, the album took metal to new heights with its intense production, explosive riffs and, of course, Rob Halford’s legendary voice. Produced by Chris Tsangarides, «Painkiller» was also the band’s first album to feature drummer Scott Travis, who brought them renewed energy, and it brought an era to a close, being the last one they released before Halford’s temporary departure, who would only return in 2003.

Formed in 1969 in Birmingham, UK, JUDAS PRIEST have influenced generations with their powerful sound and striking aesthetic. That’s why this celebration of «Painkiller» is not only a tribute to an iconic album, but also to the lasting legacy of one of the greatest heavy metal bands of all time.

One of the most explosive and visceral bands in the history of modern metal, SLIPKNOT will bring their overwhelming energy to the EVILLIVE FESTIVAL.

Recognised for their unique aesthetic and energetic live performances, SLIPKNOT took their first steps in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1995. From an early stage, the collective stood out for its use of grotesque masks and a large line-up of nine members. Led by vocalist Corey Taylor and percussionist Shawn Crahan, the collective combines its very own vision of metal with experimental elements, creating a sound that manages to be as visceral and intense as it is ear-splitting. Their eponymous 1999 debut album catapulted them to global success and 2001’s «Iowa» cemented their reputation, revealing an even darker, heavier sound that reflected the emotional turmoil of an entire generation.

With seven studio albums deep in their catalogue, including the most recent «We Are Not Your Kind» and «The End, So Far», they remain influential, overcoming tragedies and a few line-up changes. The result: three decades after they first got together, SLIPKNOT are more than just a band, establishing themselves as a cultural force capable of redefining the boundaries of contemporary metal.

The nu-metal legends revolutionised heavy music in the 90s and, more than three decades after taking their first steps, they bring their unmistakable sound to the EVILLIVE FESTIVAL.

Formed in 1993 in Bakersfield, California, the North Americans KORN are often considered pioneers of nu-metal. The group was founded by Brian ‘Head’ Welch, James ‘Munky’ Shaffer, Reginald ‘Fieldy’ Arvizu, David Silveria and Jonathan Davis, who brought a distinctive voice and an introspective and visceral lyrical approach to the world of heavy music, unusual in the genre. Combining elements of metal, hip-hop and alternative rock, the band stood out early on for their use of seven-string guitars, low bass and lyrics that tackle themes such as trauma, alienation and personal struggle.

Their eponymous debut album, released in 1994, presented an innovative and raw sound, but it was with «Follow The Leader» and «Issues» that the quintet achieved worldwide success, with multi-million sales and such iconic songs as «Freak On A Leash» and «Falling Away From Me». Famous for the energy they inject into their performances, KORN helped shape the heavy sound of the late 90s and early 2000s, eventually influencing a whole generation of musicians. Despite the line-up changes they’ve undergone over the years, including the departure of Arvizu and Silveria, they’ve always remained active and relevant, and with over 40 million records sold, they continue to explore new sounds, consolidating their legacy in the world of rock and metal.
