After it became clear that QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE had to cancel some of this summer’s concerts. They had hoped all along that they could be back on the road in early August, but now unfortunately it turns out that is still not possible.
At the same time, Oya Festival (Norway) and Way Out West (Sweden) organisers are incredibly happy that JACK WHITE is clearing his calendar to come and play! It is rare that such big names agree to concerts at short notice. This will be one of three European concerts for the 13-time Grammy-winning artist.

JACK WHITE was one of the main figures in the revitalization of guitar rock around 2000. Based on, among other things, blues and garage rock, he established the duo The White Stripes in the new music elite, with several strong best sellers. Jack White’s career has always been marked by an impressively high level of activity.
After The White Stripes, the restless artist achieved success with two new bands in a few years. First he started The Raconteurs with Brendan Benson, then he followed up with The Dead Weather. In the latter band you can find Alison Mossheart, from Øya-current The Kills. He has also managed to produce others, as well as run the record company Third Man.
Jack White’s solo albums have been well received, and several of them have reached number one in the US album charts. So far, we have rarely been able to experience him in Norway, but his reputation as a brilliant live artist is strong. He is now up to date with new music, which he himself should have given samples of in his record store a few days ago. Soon this will be released as an ordinary publication.
The man behind modern evergreens such as Steady As She Goes, Seven Nation Army, Hotel Yorba and Fell in Love with a Girl is ready to create a real Friday atmosphere in Amfiet. This is the first time you can experience a solo concert with Jack White in Oslo in 12 years, you should get that with you.
The QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE will also be unable to played Syd for Solen, Cabaret Vert, Lowlands, Pukkelpop and Villar de Mouros festivals this summer!
