Tuska festival taking place at Suvilahti in Helsinki on June 30th – 2nd July has announced a bunch of new acts to the 2023 roster. Gracing the line up is one of the founding fathers of melodic death metal, IN FLAMES whose melodic and mournful but at the same time aggressively recognisable harmonic guitar lines have inspired countless musicians and bands around the world over the years. In Flames’ new album “Foregone” will be released in February. Also added to the bill are Mongolian traditional throat singing folk metallers THE HU and Sweden melo-death greats ARCH ENEMY, who just recently played a sold out show at the Helsinki Ice Hall Black Box.
Other international additions are American groove metal sensation BUTCHER BABIES, experimental metal group IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT and London-based singer-songwriter A.A. WILLIAMS.
Finnish metal is represented by Helsinki crossover squad FORESEEN, star-studded SMACKBOUND, traditional power metal power house SILVER BULLET, Scandinavian pagan metal of VERMILIA, deathgrind engine GALVANIZER and death/doom group SOLOTHUS.
