The time has finally come for the announcement of the first headliner of the 2024 edition of I-DAYS MILANO, the festival which last summer, thanks to an international cast of superstars, won the hearts of lovers of great music, bringing over 320 thousand to the Lombard capital spectators.
The first artists to be announced today are GREEN DAY, the Californian band symbol of punk rock that on 26 JUNE 2024 will set the I-DAYS Milan stage on fire at the IPPODROMO SNAI LA MAURA for a single live event in our country of “THE SAVIORS EU/UK TOUR”, a date in which they will celebrate their two most successful albums, “Dookie” and “American Idiot”.
The “THE SAVIORS EU/UK TOUR” is the opportunity for Billie Joe Armstrong, Trè Cool and Mike Dirnt, to celebrate two epic albums that have marked their history in 2024 with a show that will offer fans hits from “Dookie” 30 years after its release (winner of the 1995 Grammy Award for Best Alternative Album) and of “American Idiot” twenty years after its release (a record which in 2004 debuted at number one on the Billboard charts of best-selling albums and in the UK Official Album Chart and then won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album in 2005).
Last week GREEN DAY released the unreleased single “The American Dream Is Killing Me” which anticipates the new album “Saviors” out on January 19, 2024.
Warming up the audience before them will be NOTHING BUT THIEVES, increasingly leaders of the new English scene.
NOTHING BUT THIEVES will tour their fourth album “Dead Club City” released on June 30th and entered the UK album charts at #1 with songs such as the singles “Welcome to the DCC” and “Overcome” (which reached the Top 50 and the Top 70 of Italian radio airplay) and the third single “Tomorrow is Closed”.
