Final Line-Up Announced for Postal Service & Death Cab for Cutie at All Points East

UK All Points East announces The Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie

All Points East is excited to announce the incredible full line up accompanying THE POSTAL SERVICE and DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE at Victoria Park this summer. More names revealed today include LANY, SAY SHE SHE, EVERYTHING EVERYTHING, GUSTAF, SPIRITUAL CRAMP, MEHRO, JOHN-ROBERT, BO STALOCH, DAILY J AND CUCAMARAS. THEY JOIN PREVIOUSLY ANNOUNCED THE DECEMBERISTS, PHOENIX, GOSSIP, SLEATER-KINNEY, TEENAGE FANCLUB, WEDNESDAY and SOFT LAUNCH.

LANY craft dreamy, dance-informed pop with a smooth R&B spirit. The band’s name is a nod to Los Angeles and New York, marking their desire to spread their music from coast to coast. After charting in the US with their 2017 self-titled debut, they had another US Top 40 showing with their 2018 sophomore LP, Malibu Nights, before landing their first Hot 100 hit single in 2019 with the Lauv collaboration ‘Mean It’. In 2020, the band reached a U.S. chart peak with the Top Ten Mama’s Boy, following it a year later with gg bb xx. In 2023, the heartbroken a beautiful blur launched them into the Top Five in Australia.

The female-led discodelic soul band SAY SHE SHE will transport you with their dreamy harmonies, catchy hooks and up-tempo grooves. The band’s sound is a hat tip to late 70’s girl groups with the three strong female lead voices of PIYA MALIK, SABRINA MILEO CUNNINGHAM and NYA GAZELLE BROWN at the epicentre of a roaring 7 piece band. With over 20 million combined streams and two albums to their name, including last year’s record Silver, they were also voted one of BBC 6 Music’s Artists of the Year for 2023.

No-one quite operates in the realm of the visionary EVERYTHING EVERYTHING. Setting dystopian ‘Black Mirror’-style concepts to songs which thrillingly find the sweet spot between esoteric experimentation and art-pop accessibility, the band have earned critical acclaim and a devoted following in equal measure, leading to five Ivor Novello and two Mercury Prize nominations, a run of six consecutive Top 10 albums, and major headline shows including London’s Alexandra Palace. They have always explored grand concepts in their albums, as demonstrated by 2022’s ahead-of-the-curve Raw Data Feel and continued with the release of their latest album Mountainhead.

Also joining the line-up for the final show of All Points East 2024 is Brooklyn art punk five-piece GUSTAF, San Fran punk band SPIRITUAL CRAMP, alt-pop singer-songwriter MEHRO, electronic artist and producer JOHN-ROBERT, emerging folk and country artist BO STALOCH, New Zealand pop electronica DAILY J and Nottingham-born indie four-piece CUCAMARAS.

To celebrate two decades of Give Up and Transatlanticism, THE POSTAL SERVICE and DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE have joined forces for an unprecedented 20th anniversary co-headline tour. Now heading back to London, this show will continue the huge anniversary celebrations. Each night, Benjamin Gibbard, the co-founder of both bands, will pull double duty performing with The Postal Service – comprised of Gibbard, Jimmy Tamborello, and Jenny Lewis – as well as with Death Cab for Cutie (alongside Nick Harmer, Dave Depper, Zac Rae, and Jason McGerr). The extraordinary show will see both iconic groups performing their seminal 2003 albums in full.

This will be THE POSTAL SERVICE’S first appearance in London for over 10 years, so this performance will be an incredibly special celebration of two groups who defined an era and are held in the hearts of music fans across the world.

Touching all corners of the alternative sphere, this momentous lineup is a celebration of music history. Uber One presents All Points East will bring these enduring names to Victoria Park as a salute to this legacy.
