The Stagecoach Festival is one of the largest and most popular country music festivals in the United States, held annually in Indio, California, at the Empire Polo Club, the same site as the famous Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Launched in 2007 by Goldenvoice (also the organisers of Coachella), Stagecoach was designed to cater specifically to fans of country, bluegrass, folk, and Americana music.
Over the years, Stagecoach has grown significantly in both size and reputation, drawing some of the biggest names in country music. Past headliners have included legends like George Strait, Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood, and Luke Bryan, alongside rising stars and crossover acts. While country remains the central genre, the festival also includes rock, blues, and roots artists, appealing to a broad audience of music lovers.
Stagecoach typically takes place over three days in late April, directly following Coachella. The festival provides a more laid back atmosphere compared to its sister event, with attendees often dressed in cowboy boots, hats, and Western wear. In addition to music, Stagecoach offers a variety of food vendors, BBQ competitions, dance halls, and activities like line dancing and mechanical bull riding, making it a full cultural experience.
Attendance has grown steadily over the years, with recent editions attracting over 80,000 people per day. Many attendees camp on-site, turning the weekend into a country themed outdoor party in the California desert.
Stagecoach not only highlights the diversity of country music but also celebrates the lifestyle and community surrounding it. Its success has helped broaden the appeal of country music on the West Coast and solidified its place as a key event in the American music festival calendar.

The Empire Polo Club is a 78-acre polo club in Indio, California in the Coachella Valley of Riverside County, approximately 22 miles southeast of Palm Springs. It was founded in 1987. It has twelve polo grounds, making it one of the largest polo clubs on the West coast of the United States. It leases out its polo grounds for Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and Stagecoach Festival annually for the last three weekends in April.
