It is the inception of Rock Imperium Festival, a new Rock and Heavy Metal festival in Levante, the eastern region of the Iberian Peninsula that took place for the first time on June the 24th and 25th, 2022 in Cartagena (Spain).
There is no doubt that Cartagena is the right city to accommodate one of the most promising festivals of the country, as it is a location with a huge cultural heritage, with several beaches in the area, a great gastronomic offer, its warm people etc.
Next to Charles III of Spain’s wall you will find the impressive Parque de la Cuesta del Batel, a unique site where the two main stages will be situated and artists such as Scorpions and Whitesnake will play their exclusive Spanish shows in 2022. An impressive venue full of comfort and possibilities for all the attendees in order to provide an ideal experience to the whole family.
In addition to the main stages, there will be a third stage in the promenade, next to El Batel auditorium where many international acts will perform, as well as a lot of outstanding local bands.
A holiday paradise where you can have a warm stay with your family and friends and enjoy the comforts of a wonderful touristic enclave which is also the perfect way to break away from routine savouring the best live music.
The city of Cartagena is located on five small hills called: Monte de la Concepción, Cerro del Molinete, Monte de San José, Monte Sacro and Cerro de Despeñaperros.
It is a port city open to the Mediterranean Sea through a wide bay. The port of Cartagena currently has two docks. On the one hand, Escombreras, where different industries are located, and on the other, the city itself. Between the two is the closest of our beaches, Cala Cortina, equipped with all the necessary facilities.
The natural port of Cartagena is delimited by the island of Escombreras (to the east) and the hill of La Torrosa (to the west). Its entrance is guarded by a series of castles and coastal batteries built in the 18th and 19th centuries.
The city is the seat of the Regional Assembly, the legislative body of the Autonomous Community.
In natural surroundings you can visit its two protected areas: to the west, the beaches of Cabo Tiñoso, among which is the beach of El Portús and to the east the beaches located in the regional park of Calblanque and Cala Reona.
