Provinssi is one of the oldest and best known music festivals in Finland and started its life in 1979.
Provinssi has always presented both the hottest and freshest new acts, as well as the biggest international and local superstars. In addition to high-level production services, Provinssi is also known for its unique atmosphere, due to its closeness to the wild nordic nature and the river crossing through the festival grounds.
During three fantastic days, Seinäjoki city is visited by a huge amount of people who enjoy music, art, Finnish summer and above all: the company of other like-minded people.
The festival’s record attendance numbers are from 2011 when 81.000 guests visited Provinssi over three days. A daily record was achieved in 2016, when over 31.000 people watched Rammstein’s massive show.

Törnävänsaari is an island and park, located in the district with the same name, in the city of Seinäjoki. The island is surrounded by the Friskinlammi river. The park also includes the Törnävä Summer Theater and the “Törnävän pato”, a series of smaller waterfalls. It’s located next to the Simunas Park. Törnävänsaari is a beautiful parkland and a well-known place for outdoor activities and sports and leisure between the locals. There is a regional museum, summer theatre, and lots of different sports activities functioning in the area. In addition, a nature conservation area is located just behind the fences of Provinssi’s Woodland Stage.
The area consists mostly of gravel fields and parks, forests, and large green areas. A running river is dividing the area connected by two bridges. The roads are wide sand roads and all customer lanes are made accessible for wheelchairs.
