C2C: Country to Country is a major country music festival that has found a second home in Glasgow’s OVO Hydro, solidifying its place as Europe’s premier country music event. Expanding from its London origins, the Glasgow edition began in 2016 at the Clyde Auditorium before moving to the larger OVO Hydro in 2018 to accommodate its growing fan base. The festival is a direct link to Nashville, bringing a carefully curated lineup that balances global superstars with rising talents from the US, UK, and Europe.
While the main stage at the OVO Hydro draws a massive crowd, the festival experience extends far beyond, with smaller, free “pop-up” stages set up in and around the venue. This unique element fosters a festival-wide atmosphere that is both intimate and electric, allowing attendees to discover new music and feel part of a genuine community. Fans, many in full country-western gear, create a vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere, singing along to every word and embracing the culture. C2C Glasgow is more than just a series of concerts; it’s a dedicated celebration of a genre that has found a fiercely loyal audience in Scotland, making it an annual highlight for country music fans across the UK.

The OVO Hydro is a modern and visually striking multi-purpose indoor arena located on the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) in Glasgow, Scotland. Its history began with the redevelopment of the city’s former Queen’s Dock. Designed by renowned architects Foster + Partners, the venue’s distinctive elliptical, amphitheater-like shape and translucent exterior cladding have made it a prominent and iconic part of the Glasgow skyline since its opening in 2013. Its name has changed over time, starting as the Scottish Hydro Arena during construction, then becoming the SSE Hydro, and more recently, the OVO Hydro, reflecting new sponsorship. As the largest entertainment venue in Scotland, with a capacity of up to 14,300, the OVO Hydro hosts a wide array of world-class events.
It is a premier destination for concerts by international music megastars across all genres, from rock and pop to country and R&B. Beyond music, it also stages major comedy shows, large-scale sporting events, and corporate functions, including being a venue for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. The OVO Hydro’s consistent ranking as one of the busiest venues in the world, attracting over a million visitors annually, underscores its success and importance as a hub for live entertainment in Scotland.
