BottleRock Napa Valley is an annual music festival held over Memorial Day weekend in Napa, California, at the Napa Valley Expo. Launched in 2013. The initial BottleRock was a five-day event that took place May 8–12, 2013 and featured three stages with 60 bands. The festival was conceived as a fusion of music, food, and wine, reflecting the region’s rich cultural tapestry. The inaugural event featured over 60 bands, including Jackson Browne, The Black Crowes, and Zac Brown Band, alongside 40 local wineries. Despite its initial success, the event faced financial challenges, leading to unpaid debts. Subsequently, Latitude 38 Entertainment took over the festival’s operations, ensuring its continuity and growth.
Musically, BottleRock offers a diverse lineup encompassing genres like rock, pop, hip-hop, R\&B, and electronic. Notable past headliners include The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lizzo, and Pearl Jam. The 2025 edition featured over 80 artists, with Green Day, Justin Timberlake, and Ice Cube among the headliners.
Attendance has steadily increased, with the 2024 festival drawing approximately 120,000 attendees over three days. The event has become a staple in Northern California’s cultural calendar, attracting music enthusiasts and food connoisseurs alike. Beyond music, BottleRock emphasises culinary experiences, featuring renowned chefs and local wineries, making it a comprehensive celebration of Napa Valley’s offerings.
