About The Festival

The Beardy Folk Festival is a unique and intimate event held annually in the picturesque grounds of Hopton Court in South Shropshire, UK. Established in 2018, the festival has quickly become a beloved fixture on the independent festival circuit, known for its friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Despite its name, the festival’s musical offerings are diverse, embracing a “Folk sans frontiers” philosophy.

The lineup features a rich blend of traditional and contemporary folk, along with roots, Americana, world music, bluegrass, blues, and other genres, showcasing both established artists and emerging talents. With a licensed capacity of 5,000 attendees per day, Beardy Folk Festival is deliberately small, which contributes to its a warm and personal feel, allowing festival-goers to easily navigate the site and enjoy all the performances.

Beyond the music, the festival offers a wide array of activities, including workshops, storytelling, a trade village, street food, and various family-friendly entertainments. This combination of quality music, a stunning setting, and a strong sense of community makes the Beardy Folk Festival a truly special and memorable experience for all who attend.
