Airbeat One is a large-scale annual electronic dance music festival held at Neustadt-Glewe, Germany. It is especially known for its show concept, which features a different country theme every year.
In 2023, the festival recorded around 210,000 visitors, therefore, it is one of the largest festivals of its kind in Germany and Europe.
After the first edition took place under the name “Airbase One” and an annual edition was decided due to the success, the name was changed to Airbeat One in 2004 for legal reasons.
A main stage was set up for the first time in 2010, allowing larger headliners to be presented. From 2016 the number of visitors rose sharply and by the 15th anniversary the festival recorded 40,000 visitors per festival day.
In 2018, the festival site was opened on Wednesday. With about 55,000 visitors per day and a total of 180,000 thousand in total, a new record was set. After the festival could not take place for two years due to the corona pandemic, it set a new record in 2022 with a total of 200,000 visitors. It was also the only festival this year to host 37 DJs from DJ Mag’s Top 100 list.

Neustadt-Glewe airfield (ICAO code: EDAN) is a commercial airfield in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district. It is approved for gliders, motor gliders, ultralight aircraft and motor aircraft with a maximum take-off weight of up to 5.7 tonnes.
The grass airfield, built in the 1930s, reached a size of 1200 by 750 metres in 1938. It served as a training ground for various pilot schools of the German Air Force, including the FFS A72 as a satellite airfield next to Güstrow and Sülte from 1944. Various infrastructure buildings for flight operations from this period are still partially preserved[1]. In the GDR, the Society for Sport and Technology was the user of the airfield from 1953, and a district training centre for the northern districts of Rostock, Schwerin and Neubrandenburg was established with sections for gliding and parachuting. A special airfield was set up in 1991. From February 9, 1995, the airfield was approved as a commercial airfield.
