Global pop superstar DUA LIPA is back with her new single “Houdini” – which introduces the beginning of a new chapter in the artist’s career, following the successful release of the album “Future Nostalgia” (2020).
“Houdini”, produced by Danny L. Harle and Kevin Parker of Tame Impala, begins the narrative sequence, which traces the artist’s new path. It’s the embodiment of that “4 a.m. feeling, when the night is about to end and you’re a bit sweaty, but you don’t want the party to end.”
This song represents the lighter, liberating parts of being single. Houdini’ is quite ironic, it explores the idea that either one person can make my time count or I can disappear at the end of the night. You never know where something might take you and that’s the beauty of being open to whatever life throws your way. I’m excited to be able to share that sense of defiant happiness with my fans.Dua Lipa
THE SMASHING PUMPKINS, one of the bands most loved by the Portuguese public, arrives at NOS Alive’24 to perform on the NOS Stage on July 11th.
When the band first emerged in Chicago in 1988, the world had never heard anything like it. The mix of rock, pop, shoe-gaze, metal, goth, psychedelic and electronic come together in a kaleidoscope of sugary melodies with blurred distortion, bombastic orchestration, incendiary guitar riffs and unshakable choruses.
Since its formation, the sound was something different, never heard before, iconoclastic and totally new — and it continues to be so today. As a result, they have sold more than 30 million albums worldwide and won two GRAMMY® Awards, two MTV VMAs and an American Music Award. Their catalog stands out for the platinum albums Gish (1991), quadruple platinum Siamese Dream (1993), diamond-certified Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness (1995), platinum Adore (1998) and gold Machina/The Machines of God (2000).
In 2018, they embarked on one of their most successful tours ever, the “Shiny and Oh So Bright Tour”. This year, THE SMASHING PUMPKINS released their latest album, ATUM, featuring 33 tracks across 3 acts – written and produced by Corgan.
