For more than three decades, COUNTING CROWS, multiple Grammy and Academy Award nominees, have enchanted listeners around the world with their intensely soulful and intricate interpretation of timeless rock & roll. Bursting onto the music scene in 1993 with their multi-platinum album, August and Everything After, the band has since released seven studio albums, selling more than 20 million records worldwide, and is revered as one of the world’s leading live rock bands.
In 2021, COUNTING CROWS ranked No. 8 on Billboard’s 25-Year Greatest of All Time: Adult Alternative Artists chart, and in May of that year, Adam Duritz and Counting Crows released Butter Miracle: Suite One, their first album in seven years, and embarked on their first tour since 2018, The Butter Miracle Tour.
In October 1996, the band’s double-platinum second studio album, Recovering the Satellites, debuted at No. 1, further cementing their growing reputation as one of the world’s leading American alternative rock bands. Following their initial triumph, Counting Crows have released numerous other hits, including This Desert Life (1999), Hard Candy (2002), Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings (2008), and Somewhere Under Wonderland (2014). In 2004, Counting Crows recorded the hit song “Accidentally in Love” for the animated film Shrek 2. The song’s immediate success earned the band an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song at the 2005 Academy Awards, a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song, and a Grammy Award nomination for Best Song Written for Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media.
