With BLOODSTOCK 2026 underway and heading for another record-breaking year, festival HQ has wasted no time looking ahead. The first 27 bands for BLOODSTOCK 2027 have just been unleashed — revealed live at the Ronnie James Dio Stage following Municipal Waste’s face-melting set.
So mark your calendars: 5th – 8th August 2027, Catton Park!
THE RONNIE JAMES DIO STAGE
Friday night belongs to Danish metal legends MERCYFUL FATE, the band who helped lay the foundations for extreme metal theatrics. Expect occult drama, soaring falsetto and riffs straight from the source. King Diamond says:
“Mercyful Fate is honoured and looking extremely forward to playing BLOODSTOCK again… this time with a brand new album out, FINALLY!!!”
Saturday gets considerably more chaotic as ELECTRIC CALLBOY headline BLOODSTOCK for the first time. Metalcore, EDM, ridiculous outfits and one of the most outrageously fun live shows around – Catton Park is going to need to limber up.
Sunday sees gothic-industrial heavyweights MOTIONLESS IN WHITE make their BLOODSTOCK headline debut. With two decades of theatrical mayhem behind them, expect a spectacular finale and the band’s only UK show of 2027.
Over the weekend, the Ronnie James Dio Stage will also welcome ACID BATH, GREEN LUNG, CHILDREN OF BODOM, DEVILDRIVER, CORROSION OF CONFORMITY, IMMINENCE, WIND ROSE, SYLOSIS, DECAPITATED, WITCH CLUB SATAN, HAMMERFALL, HYPOCRISY, THE HALO EFFECT, TORTURED DEMON, GUTALAX, HUMANITY’S LAST BREATH and CONAN.
In short: Gothenburg death metal, folk-power metal, sludge, thrash, black metal, thall, goregrind and everything in between. Good luck choosing your clashes.
THE SOPHIE LANCASTER STAGE – The big tent gets equally heavy!
Thursday’s headliners MADBALL bring more than 35 years of New York hardcore fury, while mysterious black-metal force GAEREA take Friday night into darker territory.
Saturday belongs to KANONENFIEBER, whose blackened death metal transforms First World War diaries into devastating sonic warfare. And when it’s finally time to close the festival, DETHKLOK will bring their brutally melodic death metal to the Sophie Lancaster Stage – cartoon origins, very real riffs.
Also joining the Sophie stage are DOOL, PIG DESTROYER and FULCI, serving up hypnotic dark rock, skull-crushing grindcore and old-school death metal drenched in horror.
