Brännbollsyran has revealed the first artist release of the year: the global supergroup BLACK EYED PEAS, led by will.i.am, will headline the festival from June 5th – 7th 2026. The group will play an exclusive gig on Sunday, when they take over the Arena Stage with their 25th anniversary. One of the world’s most streamed acts will play their only gig in Sweden at the festival.
The festival will take place from June 5th – 7th, 2026 at Hedlunda in Umeå – a weekend later than in previous years, to increase the chance of sun and warmth.
The Los Angeles trio will.i.am, Apl.de.Ap and Taboo have shaped modern pop music for over three decades. With six GRAMMY® Awards, over 35 million albums sold and 120 million singles sold, the BLACK EYED PEAS are among the world’s biggest and most influential groups. They have been named “the second most downloaded group of all time” (Nielsen) and have placed themselves on Billboard’s list of the biggest Hot 100 artists of the 21st century.
More global successes followed – “MAMACITA”, “GIRL LIKE ME” (with Shakira), “HIT IT”, as well as 2022’s biggest singles “DON’T YOU WORRY” and “SIMPLY THE BEST”. With their latest album ELEVATION, the group continues to dominate the international music scene.
Sunday at Brännbollsyran 2026 will be a historic evening when the Black Eyed Peas take over the stage in Umeå with an energetic show that is set to be one of the absolute highlights of the year.
