Ben Harper seamlessly traverses various genres, including pop, reggae, soul, blues, rock, funk, and folk. Throughout his career, he has:
• Recorded 18 studio albums.
• Sold over 16 million records worldwide.
• Won three Grammy Awards (Best Traditional Soul Gospel Album, Best Pop Instrumental Performance, and Best Blues Album) and received eight nominations.
• Received the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Gospel Artist and the Blues Foundation Song of the Year.
Known for his lyrical honesty and social activism, Harper was nominated in 2023 for the Grammy Special Merit Award for Best Song For Social Change. His most recent album, Wide Open Light, was released in June 2023 and features the track “Yard Sale,” a duet with Jack Johnson. This followed the deeply political and soulful 2022 album, Bloodline Maintenance.
He has collaborated with legendary artists such as Mavis Staples, Keith Richards, Harry Styles, Bruce Springsteen, and Paul McCartney.
