The 2023 edition of the Bay Fest takes shape: the most important punk rock festival in Italy and now known all over the world, has become the key event for all lovers of the genre. The setting in which it takes place is one of a kind: a few steps from the sea, it is able to make you live a weekend between sun, sea and lots of punk rock.
In the splendid setting of the seaside resort of Bellaria Igea Marina, a few kilometers away from Rimini on the 12th – 14th August will be dominated by punk rock. Three perfect days to enjoy all the beauty and culinary delights that only the Riviera Romagnola is able to offer.
Among the first confirmations of the festival are leaders of the genre, PENNYWISE; for over 25 years on the scene, the Los Angeles band brings with it a genre of its own, a mix of pure Californian hardcore and melodic surf punk, which give life to a powerful melodic hardcore punk, their trademark. Their shows are always engaging, impossible not to sing in choir on the notes of “Bro Hymn” or stand still on those of “Fuck Authority”: a PENNYWISE show never makes you go home unhappy.

Another name on the billboard is ME FIRST & THE GIMME GIMMES, the most famous all-star-punk-rock-super-cover-band in the world! Over the course of their career, Fat Mike of NOFX, Fletcher Dragge of Pennywise, Chris Shiflett of Foo Fighters, Brian Baker of Bad Religion, Joey Cape and Dave Raun of Lagwagon have taken part in the project. In their discography they have tackled any musical genre in an increasingly ironic and successful way, ranging from R’n’B to the classics of the 50s/60s, passing through country. Their live shows mean guaranteed entertainment.
Also joining the line-up are GOOD RIDDANCE: the hardcore punk band born in the early 90s in Santa Cruz, California, has developed an increasingly large fan base thanks to their continuous world tours and their songs imbued with political commitment and social.
After last year’s performance at the Punk In Drublic Festival, PULLEY are back in Italy. With “The Golden Life” (2022), their latest record release, they have confirmed themselves among the best in the recording and song composition phases. Listening to Pulley live literally means going to “hardcore school”.
Among the names also announced are THE VENOMOUS PINKS, an all-female trio that holds the banner of punk rock high. Drea Doll and company are loyal to a certain type of sound and will pass by the Bay Fest having recently finished touring in support of the Dead Kennedys.
After the great success of the last edition, the Pool Party is back again in 2023 by popular demand!
The pool party, which in 2022 recorded a sensational sold-out, will close the festival in style: the already announced headliners of the day of August 14th at the Mapo Club in Bellaria-Igea Marina (RN) will be H2O, historic band from the New York hardcore scene born in the first half of the 90s. A more intimate show for a crazy party, between live shows and DJ sets.
