Flow Festival announces more anticipated international and domestic acts to the celebrated Helsinki festival. Arriving to perform in Finland for the first time, Afropop superstar WIZKID brings his energetic show to Flow. The legendary Britpop phenomenon BLUR will also return to stages and make a highly awaited appearance at Flow.
WIZKID is one of the most successful African artists of all time, who will make his long-awaited debut in Finland on Flow Friday. The Grammy-winning megastar is the most streamed Nigerian artist on Spotify, having collaborated with the likes of Drake, Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, Burna Boy and Damien Marley. WIZKID released his fifth album More Love, Less Ego, in November, perfecting his universal sound. In addition, on Flow’s Sunday, the audience gets to experience Britpop giant BLUR’S return to the stage after an eight-year hiatus. The band, consisting of Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree, sold out their July comeback concert at London’s Wembley in less than a minute. The band has expressed their great desire to perform all their hits from Song 2 to Parklife and Girls & Boys to Tender, for their fans once more. At Flow, the crowd has a rare opportunity to experience one of the most innovative bands of our time in their original line-up.
On Flow Saturday, Swedish pop star TOVE LO will take the stage. The artist, who has streamed over half a billion with her biggest hits on Spotify, has proudly followed her own tracks throughout her career, seasoning pop perfection exuding songs with strong feminism and an unapologetic attitude. Releasing her fifth album Dirt Femme last year, the unique artist has collaborated with Coldplay, Kylie Minogue, Charlie XCX, Lorde, and Pussy Riot, to name a few. Lovers of electronic music are in for a treat as MODERAT, coming up from a five-year pause last year, returns to Flow on festival Sunday. MODERAT, the supergroup formed by Apparat and Modeselektor, released their stylish fourth album More D4ta in the spring of 2022 and is now touring the world again, wowing audiences everywhere.
Undoubtedly, one of the most interesting new artists of recent years is the violinist and singer SUDAN ARCHIVES, who fearlessly combines West African violin, R&B, hip-hop and electronic music. The artist, who released her acclaimed second album Natural Brown Prom Queen last year, will arrive in Finland for the first time to enchant Flow’s Sunday audience.
