South Korean indie-rock band THE ROSE have too seen many transformations since their beginnings 8 years ago when they first formed a group as a trio under the name “Windfall” with members Park Dojoon (vocals, keyboard), Lee Hajoon (drums), and Lee Jaehyeong (bass). Their early years were spent busking in Korea while writing their music, and they soon recruited Kim Woosung (vocals, guitar) and started releasing music under The Rose. They swiftly became one of Korea’s hottest groups, spending the next few years releasing critically acclaimed albums and playing globally. Debuting in 2017 with the soft-rock hit ‘Sorry’, The Rose was named one of the “New K- Pop Artists to Watch” by Billboard. They subsequently broke into the top 10 of Billboard’s “Next Big Sound”, “World Digital Song Sales” and “World Albums” charts. They hit #1 on the U.S. iTunes’ K-Pop Albums chart, solidifying the band’s dominance as one of the fastest accelerating artists across the internet. Their 2022 album HEAL is inspired by the stories of the fans and the healing power of music, and the Black Roses will no doubt turn up in force for this incredible day at BST Hyde Park!

Brighton-based singer CAITY BASER has already carved out a successful presence in the UK since the release of her Top 40 single ‘X & Y’. After singing some lyrics and a melody she’d written over a jazz guitar loop and posting it on TikTok, she woke up to be greeted by over 1.2 million likes of the video with it going viral. Fast forward to today, Caity has huge festival slots under her belt and has been credited by NME as one of the “Top 10 best new acts at the festival” so she’ll feel at home on the BST Hyde Park stage.

MAE STEPHENS also joins the bill. An electric 19 year old singer from Northampton, Mae has been writing songs since the age of 12. She rose to success with the release of her “quirky, funk-propelled pop song” ‘If We Ever Broke Up’ (Official Charts). This soon saw her become one of the most buzzed-about new talents in the UK right now. Mae previously self-released two songs, the piano ballads ‘White Lies’ and ‘Infamous Kiss’ and there’s tonnes more to look forward to…
