The Guns N’ Roses guitar legend will bring his hard-rock firepower to one of France’s most spectacular concert venues, kicking off the festival’s 30th anniversary celebrations.
SLASH is heading back to France in 2027, bringing MYLES KENNEDY & THE CONSPIRATORS to the historic Arènes de Nîmes for a night of high-voltage rock on 15th June.
The show will launch the 2027 edition of Festival de Nîmes, which celebrates its 30th anniversary next year. Few venues offer a more dramatic backdrop for a night of live music than the ancient Roman amphitheatre, where the atmosphere of the arena meets the energy of a modern rock concert.
Best known as the lead guitarist of Guns N’ Roses, Slash has become one of rock’s most recognisable figures, with a playing style built around instantly identifiable riffs, expressive solos and a sound that has influenced generations of guitarists. Away from his work with the legendary American band, his partnership with vocalist Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators has provided another outlet for his hard-rock instincts.
Kennedy’s powerful vocals complement Slash’s unmistakable guitar work, creating a live show driven by muscular riffs, extended solos and a classic rock sensibility. Together, they have established themselves as a formidable touring act, appealing to fans of both traditional hard rock and its more contemporary descendants.
The setting should make the occasion even more memorable. Festival de Nîmes has built its reputation around bringing major international artists into the remarkable surroundings of the Arènes, a venue whose history stretches back almost 2,000 years. With the sun setting over southern France and the stone arena providing the backdrop, Slash’s opening-night performance promises a striking meeting of rock history and ancient architecture.
The concert takes place on Tuesday 15th June 2027, at 8.30pm, with tickets priced from €46 to €79. An exclusive pre-sale ran from 22 to 24 October 2026, with general ticket sales opening on 24 October.
As Festival de Nîmes marks three decades of concerts in 2027, opening with Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators is a statement of intent. More programme announcements are expected, but rock fans already have a major date to put in the diary for next summer.
