From metalcore heavyweights to hardcore punk and post-hardcore favourites, Impericon Festival is building a line-up designed to hit hard.
Impericon Festival 2027 is gathering serious momentum. Eight new bands have joined the bill for next summer’s Leipzig gathering, bringing a fresh wave of breakdowns, big choruses and pit-ready intensity to a line-up already led by LORNA SHORE and BEARTOOTH.
The latest announcement stretches across several corners of the heavier music scene, with established favourites rubbing shoulders with acts bringing their own distinctive edge. And with more names still to come, this is beginning to look like a weekend worth keeping firmly on the calendar.
EIGHT NEW NAMES, PLENTY OF HEAVY FIREPOWER
FIT FOR A KING arrive with plenty of momentum, having unveiled their new single Dirt alongside the festival announcement. Expect the American metalcore outfit to bring the crushing riffs and huge, crowd-ready moments that have helped establish them as a force on the modern heavy scene.
Post-hardcore veterans SILVERSTEIN offer a different kind of intensity. After releasing two albums in 2025, Antibloom and Pink Moon, the Canadian band have a wealth of material to draw from, balancing emotional songwriting with the explosive live energy that has sustained their following for years.
THE AMITY AFFLICTION are another major addition. Their latest album, House Of Cards, gives the Australian band fresh material to take into the summer festival season, while their combination of melodic hooks and crushing heaviness should make for a compelling set.
WAGE WAR are also on board, arriving with their digital album Landfall adding to an already formidable catalogue. Meanwhile, FROM ASHES TO NEW bring new songs from 2026’s Reflections, offering another dose of modern rock and metalcore built around big choruses and heavier breakdowns.
HARDCORE TAKES CENTRE STAGE
The announcement gets even more interesting when the focus shifts towards hardcore. BLOOD FOR BLOOD will bring their uncompromising take on American hardcore, connecting the festival with the sound and attitude of the 1990s.
Australian outfit SPEED are another particularly exciting booking. Their fast, ferocious hardcore punk has made them a name to watch well beyond their home country, and their appearance offers the prospect of one of the weekend’s most intense sets.
Rounding out the eight additions are BODYSNATCHER. The Florida deathcore band will have the opportunity to unleash material from their latest studio album, Hell Is Here, Hell Is Home, adding another heavy dimension to a bill that is already shaping up to be anything but one-note.
BEARTOOTH AND LORNA SHORE LEAD THE CHARGE
The new arrivals join a festival whose headline picture is now taking shape. BEARTOOTH have been confirmed as Friday’s headliners, while LORNA SHORE are set to close Saturday, giving the weekend two very different but equally forceful centrepieces.
That contrast reflects the broader appeal of the developing line-up. Metalcore, post-hardcore, hardcore punk and deathcore are all represented, giving fans plenty of reasons to move between stages rather than settle into one corner of the genre.
There is still more to come, but this latest wave gives Impericon Festival 2027 a substantial boost and adds further weight to its reputation as a gathering point for fans of modern heavy music.
Impericon Festival 2027 takes place on 25th – 26th June 2027 in Leipzig, Germany. Tickets are on sale, with the first price tier already sold out and the next tier available. Further band announcements are expected.
