The fifth edition of the MEO KALORAMA festival, held between August 28th and 30th, closed its doors this weekend, consolidating this major event organized by Last Tour in the European music scene. A total of 110,000 attendees gathered in the idyllic venue of Lisbon’s Parque da Bela Vista during three days in which the fundamental pillars were once again music, art, and a firm commitment to sustainability and the local community.
Throughout the three days, the public was able to enjoy performances such as those by MS. LAURYN HILL, who returned to Portugal accompanied by Wyclef Jean, her bandmate in The Fugees, and her children YG Marley and Zion; by superstar ROBBIE WILLIAMS, who, just like at Bilbao BBK Live, reviewed all the hits of his long career and also presented his new project Britpop; by the legendary DEFTONES, who proved once again why they are one of the most important bands in contemporary rock; TURNSTILE, one of the groups of the moment that transformed the venue into an absolute communion of jumping; by the legend GRACE JONES, who continues to fill stages with her magnetic presence; by the always brilliant INTERPOL; by the remarkable performance of the Canadian microtonal duo ANGINE DE POITRINE; or by the groundbreaking and pioneering PEACHES with her raw electroclash.
This MEO Kalorama 2026 edition reaffirmed its identity as a green, inclusive, and safe festival through several prominent actions at the venue, such as the Sala de Pausa (a controlled and calm area to welcome and decompress attendees overwhelmed by the festival’s stimuli) or the Oficina de Movilidad Condicionada (a technical space dedicated to making minor repairs to support equipment and wheelchairs to guarantee total accessibility). Furthermore, the “Não É Não” Campaign was implemented, a prevention initiative visible throughout the park focused on zero tolerance against harassment and sexual violence, and the young emerging talents from the Lisbon neighborhood of Chelas saw their voices boosted at the Residencia Artística Chelas É o Sítio.
