The festival summer of 2026 is not even halfway through, and fans of the Vizovice festival MASTERS OF ROCK 2026 already know the date and the first confirmed bands of the Pilsen METALFEST 2027!
The 16th edition of international metal festival METALFEST OPEN AIR will take place from Friday, June 11th to 13th 2027 in the unique and popular Lochotín Amphitheater in PILSEN!
The opening concert of METALFEST and the entire festival summer 2027 will be none other than the famous metal pumpkins HELLOWEEN with their phenomenal 40th Anniversary show. The band in PILSEN will perform with a brand new setlist, so this show will be different from the one they played last week on Thursday at the MASTERS OF ROCK festival! The music catalog of this legend is so huge, so they really have a lot to choose from. Let’s be surprised with what they will bring to PILSEN in June 2027! It is a separate concert to open METALFEST, so you need a separate ticket for this concert.
METALFEST 2027 will kick off the day after the HELLOWEEN concert, on Friday, June 11th, and here are the first confirmed bands:
EDGUY – Farewell – singer, composer and producer Tobias Sammet has been mainly devoting himself to his epic metal opera project AVANTASIA for the past few years. Now the time has come to close the story of his band project EDGUY. You, METALFEST fans, can be a part of the last chapter of this band! After their premiere with a new singer at “Masters”, After their premiere at “Masters”, ARCH ENEMY must show off their new singer Lauren to the fans at METALFEST, because they really have something to brag about. So do FEUERSCHWANZ. Few can get you into such a “Firetrance” as they do! STRATOVARIUS will come to celebrate with you the 30th anniversary of the release of their cult album “Visions” (1997). You will also see the lord of evil Nergal, this time in a slightly different role, in his own project ME AND THAT MAN. Also look forward to DIE POKALYPTISCHEN REITER, HEIDEVOLK, VARG and LEAGUE OF DISTORTION.
