Among the major international guests at Rock in Roma 2026 will be one of the most influential bands of the melodic hard rock scene of the 1980s: EUROPE live on July 7th at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone (Cavea).

EUROPE is a hard rock band formed in Sweden in 1979. Among the historic leading exponents of melodic hard rock, EUROPE broke boundaries in their early days, achieving mainstream success in 1984 with their second album, “Wings of Tomorrow,” and peaking their global fame in 1986 with “The Final Countdown.” After a brief hiatus following the conclusion of the “Prisoners in Paradise” tour in 1992, the band fully reunited in 2003, embarking on the second phase of their career.
Since then, they have recorded six albums of original material and performed extensively around the world. Even today, the band, led by Joey Tempest’s vocals and John Norum’s guitar, remains a favourite among fans of ’80s rock.
