Bilbao BBK Live celebrates its two decades of history with a commemorative edition that will bring together big names in international, national, and local music on July 9th – 11th 2026, at its usual venue, Kobetamendi: an iconic natural space that has defined the festival’s identity since its inception. In this first announcement, the festival presents a carefully selected lineup of artists that marks the start of a particularly significant edition, conceived as a tribute to those who have made this journey possible: the loyal audience, the bands that have left their mark on its stages, and a community that, for twenty years, has experienced music as a shared experience.
Bilbao BBK Live kicks off this special edition with names that have marked generations and reflect the stylistic diversity of the festival. ROBBIE WILLIAMS, icon of British pop, will bring his Long 90’s Tour to Kobetamendi for the first time, a nostalgic look back at the decade that marked his career and which accompanies the release of his new album Britpop. DAVID BYRNE, an essential figure in contemporary music and the creative mind behind Talking Heads, returns to the festival with a proposal that, as usual, promises to break the mold and leave its mark. From the most visceral pulse of rock, IDLES return to the festival’s anniversary with their uncontrollable energy, consolidating themselves as one of the most powerful bands on the current scene. LILY ALLEN will present West End Girl, her acclaimed confessional album, in an exclusive live performance where she will play the entire album. One of the most iconic voices in British pop, back at the best possible moment for the festival’s anniversary. ALABAMA SHAKES join the line-up with their incendiary soul rock and the unmistakable voice of Brittany Howard meanwhile, CHARLOTTE DE WITTE, a key figure in contemporary electronic music will bring a performance that mixes avant-garde, powerful sound and an overwhelming presence in the booth. Alongside them INTERPOL, one of the most influential indie-rock bands of recent decades, completes this block of essential names that shape the festival’s 20th anniversary.
Two decades of the festival are also celebrated with artists who turn emotion into narrative. From the nostalgic imagery of BELLE AND SEBASTIAN to the stage presence that accompanies CMAT’s “Euro-country” and the pop-folk introspection of PARIS PALOMA, their offerings share the same sensibility: that of those who understand music as a vehicle for personal and collective expression, capable of transcending genres and generations.
Electronica shines in this first preview with four key acts. RICHIE HAWTIN will present DEF EFX XOX, an immersive show that explores new territories between improvisation and technology. He will be accompanied by TOMORA, the supergroup formed by Tom Rowlands (The Chemical Brothers) and AURORA, in an unprecedented alliance between electronica and alternative pop; SOULWAX, an essential band in the evolution of European electronic music, whose live performances have become a unique experience that transcends genres; and Apparat, a benchmark of the most emotional avant-garde sound.
Bilbao BBK Live reaffirms its commitment to Spanish talent by once again placing it at the top of the lineup. It does so with artists who reflect the current pulse of the scene: DANI FERNÁNDEZ, a leading figure in new Spanish pop; BELÉN AGUILERA, a versatile composer who moves naturally between the intimate and the generational; LA M.O.D.A., an essential band whose energetic live performances have earned them a place of their own; and XOEL LÓPEZ, a key figure in the evolution of independent pop in Spanish. They are joined by names that are renewing the scene from different angles: RALPHIE CHOO, BB TRICKZ, JUICY BAE, and AMORE, with offerings ranging from trap to experimental pop. In addition, Yerai Cortés and Queralt Lahoz are exploring new forms of flamenco; DEPRESIÓN SONORA and LAS PETUNIAS offer the intensity of post-punk and alternative rock; and CERVATANA, a new project of the members of Derby Motoreta’s Burrito Kachimba, bursts onto the scene with a vibrant sound that blends krautrock and electronica.
Bilbao BBK Live is also the place to discover your new favorite band, the stage where styles, accents, and generations intersect to shape the future of live music. In this edition, NU GENEA live’s refined blend of funk, electronica, and Mediterranean sounds will transport us directly to Italy, passing through the overflowing vitality of French pop icon ZAZ and the powerful voice of Malian artist FATOUMATA DIAWARA singing in Bambara, creating a musical journey that embraces both roots and modernity. They will be accompanied by the elegant soul of THEE SACRED SOULS and the fast-paced and provocative vision of horsegiirL’s new rave electronica. From Italy, MIND ENTERPRISES, authors of the viral hit Idol, will add their hedonistic and danceable proposal to a block that also features new international names such as CARPETMAN, FOLK BITCH TRIO, HOONINE, DON WEST and MIETZE CONTE, projects that defy labels and expand the festival’s soundscape. As always, artists signed to the Eusko label, such as SARA ZOZAYA, AIMARZ, MARTE LASARTE, GAR and SUAVE, have a special place at the festival.
Nestled in the natural surroundings of Kobetamendi with Bilbao at its feet, Bilbao BBK Live will celebrate its 20th edition in 2026, reaffirming what has made it a unique festival: an experience that transcends music to connect landscape, culture, and community. For three days, the mountain will once again be transformed into a place where every concert, every detail, and every encounter is designed to last.
