That MOLLY SANDÉN was a rare talent was clear from the start. She had charisma, the voice and the hunger. Today she is a complete artist with both a clear identity and crystallized visions with a career where successes succeed each other.
In 2019 she released her second album in Swedish, “Det bästa påske inte händer än”, which earned her three Grammys (Pop of the Year, Album of the Year and Artist of the Year), as well as Pop of the Year on P3 Guld and Guldmicken (for the year’s best live performance).
The international breakthrough came when her alter ego “My Marianne” sang “Husavik – My Hometown” together with Will Ferrell in the Netflix hit “Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga”. The song was nominated for “Best Original Song” at the 2021 Oscars and Molly performed the song at the gala in front of a global audience of millions.
2024 was a strong year for Sandén. The platinum success “Hålla mig” was followed by the summer hit “Slutet av sommarn” and the hit duet “Lost And Found”, which she did together with Viktor Leksell. After acclaimed album releases and talked-about festival performances in Norway and at Way Out West, Molly Sandén is ready for the next big step in her already brilliant career. A top-class show is promised when one of Sweden’s biggest artists takes the stage at Alive Festival next summer!
