For almost a week, the Salzburg Electric Love Festival has been hinting that something big is coming. From black profile pictures to two mysterious teasers, the excitement has been building bit by bit, now a two-minute announcement video reveals what it’s all about: SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA is coming to Salzburg for one of their strictly exclusive shows.

They are arguably the most sought-after EDM act worldwide. The trio, consisting of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, has shaped the electronic music scene like no other. Together with acts such as Avicii, they were the driving forces behind the global EDM boom of the 2010s and created hits such as Don’t You Worry Child (over 1.3 billion Spotify streams), Save The World and One Songs, which have shaped an entire generation. After a break of several years, they celebrated their comeback in 2019 and since then SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA have only been playing select, exclusive shows.

With fresh collaborations such as “Turn On The Lights Again” with Fred Again and tracks with The Weeknd and Alicia Keys, they show that they still have their finger on the pulse. In addition to their two stadium shows in Gothenburg in August, for which they have sold over 100,000 tickets, only two festival appearances are currently confirmed for 2026: in Japan and at the Electric Love Festival in Salzburg, Austria.
