The Reload Festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2025 and promises to crown this special anniversary with an unforgettable program. We are pleased to be able to present you the first top-class acts for next year. A new milestone is being set: For the first time, the main stage will open on Thursday to offer you an additional day full of energetic live shows.
The Reload Festival 2025 will be ushered in with an absolute highlight: MACHINE HEAD will be performing with us for the first time! After almost a decade of absence from festivals, the legendary “Oakland steamroller” is returning and bringing its powerful riffs and intense grooves to Sulingen. MACHINE HEAD, who revolutionized thrash metal with their debut album “Burn My Eyes” (1994), have been a fixture in the metal scene for over 30 years. Look forward to an explosive show that will reflect their long and influential career in all its facets.
Organisers are also particularly pleased to welcome GOJIRA to their stage. The French metal band, which is characterized by its innovative mix of death metal and progressive metal, will be performing at the Reload Festival for the first time. MACHINE HEAD, known for their technically adept and atmospheric live shows, have impressed the world over with their unique sound and gripping stage presence. Their breathtaking performance at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris impressively demonstrated how they can inspire a global audience with their powerful music and gripping stage presence. The performance was celebrated by fans and critics alike and has further cemented their position as one of the world’s leading metal bands. Their performance will certainly be a highlight of the festival and immerse the audience in a powerful metal storm.
Another big highlight for 2025 is the performance of I PREVAIL. With their genre mix of metalcore, electronic elements and melodic pop rock, the US band is one of the most innovative groups in the modern rock and metal scene. After pandemic-related cancellations in 2020 and 2021, their appearance at the Reload Festival will be a long-awaited highlight.
A total of 22 bands have already confirmed their participation in the Reload Festival 2025.
