The line-ups for the Hurricane and Southside are almost complete. With the acts confirmed today for the festivals in Scheeßel and Neuhausen Ob Eck, organizer FKP Scorpio is sharpening the international profile of the two major events, which are taking place from June 16th to 18th for the 25th (Hurricane) and 23rd (Southside) editions.
The release of the final headliner alongside MUSE, DIE ÄRZTE, BILLY TALENT, KRAFTKLUB, PLACEBO, CASPER, PETER FOX and QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE is imminent.
Leading today’s new signings is Icelandic rock sensation KALEO, whose intense alt-rock has rightfully achieved gold and platinum status in many countries. TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB come from Northern Ireland, but have also enjoyed international success for years. Singer-songwriter JAMES BAY has also announced that he, like the two bands already mentioned, is praised for his great songwriting and his impressive voice. This praise also applies to CHVRCHES, even if their songs function fundamentally differently as a prime example of carefully constructed electro-pop. With their work somewhere between indie and Viennese charm, WANDA are another example of how successful you can be with a sound that eludes common music clichés.
SLEAFORD MODS, PASCOW, FJØRT and PALAYE ROYALE have announced that they will be hosting intensive live shows. OBS and LILLY PALMER will deliver great DJ sets and delight their audiences, as will LIONHEART, DMA’s and MAJAN.
Additional performances by LOLA MARSH, POWERPLUSH, KID KAPICHI AND KELSY KARTER & THE HEROINES will ensure the line-up offers a delightful cross-section of the most exciting developments in new music.
The last acts and the final headliner will be announced shortly.
